Dr. Joan created this journal based on 15 years of clinical practice, the most current and robust psychological research, and spiritual wisdom. Each forgiveness begins with a quick 2 part exercise called fear mapping to help you zoom in on the hidden moments that require forgiveness.

Journaling

As we forgive it is best to treat the process like an investigation. Dr. Joan provides detailed instructions that allow you to put on your Sherlock Holmes hat as you examine the moments, and people that wounded you.

Forgiving & Release

Forgiveness helps us to understand how we want love to show up especially in the moments we were wounded. It helps us to have compassion as we notice the patterns our family members, friends, and colleagues are stuck in.

Forgiveness is a prayer spoken out loud. We pray first for the one who wounded us and then for ourselves. The most important prayer is the one that breaks forever the negative thought patterns, destructive speech symbolism, and behaviours that keep us stuck in a toxic loop.

“I’m ready to speak my piece. That’s right! It’s my turn-and it’s about time! I’ve got a lot to say, and I’m bursting to say it. The pressure has built up, like lava beneath the earth. I’m a volcano ready to blow. I have to speak-I have no choice.” These are words from an ancient text and by a man who suffered much. His name was Job and you will find these thoughts in Job 32:15-22 MSG. We’ll teach you how to speak your truth so the illness, imbalance, and brokenness can end.
