Velcia Scott

Velcia Scott is a transformative figure in the realm of fitness and life coaching, discovered the profound connection between the physical body and the inner self over 40 years ago. Initially seeking solace and belonging through team sports, Velcia found that the more she trained, the better she felt. This positive correlation between physical fitness and inner confidence led her to a profound realization — the physical body is a mere external representation of one’s inner self.

Motivated by her personal journey, Velcia delved deeper into physical activity, becoming a personal trainer with a mission to empower women by fostering the same sense of confidence and control she experienced. Yet, a recurring theme emerged in her interactions with clients — the critical role of mental well-being in achieving physical goals. This pivotal realization ignited Velcia’s passion for guiding individuals towards a holistic approach to health.

Recognizing that genuine strength, confidence, and transformative change originate from within, Velcia underwent a personal transformation. She redirected her focus towards mental well-being, understanding that to effectively help others, she first needed to understand herself. The years spent prioritizing the physical over the mental had caught up with her, prompting Velcia to embark on a journey of personal growth and development. Through self-reflection and perseverance, she left behind the shadows of her past.

Today, as a Certified Life Coach and NLP Master Practitioner accredited by The American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Velcia leverages her rare intuitive ability in her role as a Foundational Clinical Team member at the Becoming Institute. Velcia’s coaching philosophy centers around finding harmony in life by embracing the symbiotic relationship between mind and body. Velcia resides in beautiful Montreal, Quebec with her family. In addition to her role at the Becoming Institute, she is an entrepreneur and the owner of a successful private gym.
