1
Trauma Exposure

The recent World Mental Health Survey revealed that the estimated prevalence of lifetime trauma exposure in the general population of the 24 countries that took part in the survey ranges up to 85%.

2
Trauma Through Racism

Data from The Mental Health Commission of Canada highlights that 60% of Black Canadians say they would be more more likely to seek help if more equitable mental health services were available. Notably, 34.2% of Black Canadians experiencing significant distress have never sought mental health services (Taylor & Kuo, 2020).

3
Mental Health in the Workplace

When asked to identify signs of mental illness, employees report irritability and withdrawal (31.58%), anxiety (26.32%), and stress and overwhelm (15.79%) as the most common symptoms experienced as they move through their workday.

We're here to change that.

At the Becoming Institute, we define trauma as an involuntary physiological (BODY), emotional (MIND), and spiritual (SPIRIT) response to an event that is perceived by the individual as overwhelming, fearful, threatening, or punishing.

The Becoming Institute works with practitioners, individuals, and businesses to empower people to take healing into their own hands. We help to ensure traumatic responses are acknowledged and healed rather than misinterpreted, isolated and punished.
We guarantee the efficacy of our psychotherapeutic technique and its capacity to isolate and effectively eliminate traumatic events and all fear-based response patterns.

What makes us different?

We are different because our therapists move through the same healing journey our clients do. They move through a healing and transformation journey first and are thoroughly assessed to ensure they are ready and equipped to work with you. As you move through the Becoming Method™, you will naturally accelerate in spiritual giftings like intuition and compassion. This will be the secret to your success. We guarantee a 100% success rate and we stay with you until you achieve it.

At the Becoming Institute, we are equipped to quickly reshape the thoughts and beliefs of our clients with profound impacts on their physical, mental, social and relational wellbeing. All of our practitioners have passed through a clear and transformative 12-month certification process that has prepared them to deliver therapeutic interventions of the highest standards.
We live by the 3/7 rule.
In just 3 sessions we end your pain.
In 7 sessions we give you the tools and insights to make lasting life change.

Our commitment to offering a safe and culturally attuned therapeutic space sets us apart in the field of mental health service delivery.

Holistic Healing:
We integrate epigenetics, intergenerational trauma, levels of consciousness, and experiences of everyday racism into our therapeutic approach. This holistic perspective ensures that our therapists are equipped with a nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by the Black community.
Black-Led and Black-Focused:
Unlike traditional psychotherapy methods, we are a Black-led, Black-focused, and Black-serving organization. Our goal is to balance the therapeutic landscape by creating methods designed for and by the Black community.
Truth, Forgiveness, and Reconciliation:
We firmly believe that truth, forgiveness, and reconciliation are the pillars of true healing and restorative justice. The Becoming Method™ combines intuitive and indigenous ways of Black knowing with the science of coregulation and evolving consciousness.
Swift and Transformative:
Our signature healing process focuses on three vital phases – ending traumatic responses, shifting false beliefs, and realizing one's true identity and purpose. Clients often experience relief in as little as three sessions, marking the swift and transformative nature of The Becoming Method™.
100% Success Rate:

What is the Becoming Method™ ?

The Becoming Method™ is a comprehensive approach to trauma recovery that integrates forgiveness, body memory retrieval, and core beliefs balancing to guide individuals toward a deep understanding of themselves as whole and perfect spiritual beings. The beauty of the Becoming Method™ is the powerful conscious forgiveness process that helps our clients learn life lessons and shift how they experience the everyday.

The Becoming Method™ is based on the work of two forward-thinking psychotherapists who understood the power of forgiveness in the healing and transformation journey.
The method is grounded in the understanding that authentic love for self, spiritual awakening and trauma recovery are fundamentally connected to conscious Christ-like forgiveness.
Most unique to the process is the purposeful attention granted to the roles of the conscious, subconscious and superconscious mind in the therapeutic process.

Our signature healing process attends to 3 important phases of the healing and transformation journey:

1
Healing begins with a swift end to traumatic responses like sadness, worry & anger, and our clients see relief in as little as 3 sessions!
2
After quickly ending traumatic pain, the next phase of the process helps our clients shift false & negative beliefs.
3
The therapeutic process ends when
our clients say "I know who I AM"
and "I know my why."
